Tony Perry's excellent adventure
Thursday, August 12, 2004:
Today was the fourth time in five days that i went into the city. I'm getting to be an old hat at riding the train. This time, I was there for a session with Craig Holzberg, an agent with Talentworks, courtesy the Audition Experience. Holzberg seemed like a really nice guy, and he answered lots of questions -- and we hungry actors tried our best to absorb every word!
This week was Bryan's 9th birthday, and we celebrated by having the whole family up. There was a lot of sight-seeing -- trust me, two hours on line at the Empire State Building is no picnic! Well, it certainly was more fun than hanging around for six hours to audition, and that was how I spent Saturday! Anyway, Bryan has loved the music for "The Phantom of the Opera" for a while now, so we took him to see it on Broadway for his birthday. He loved it. And no wonder -- it was a terrific show. Hugh Panero (the original Marius in Les Mis) was a tremendous Phantom. That man has a voice!
