Tony Perry's excellent adventure
Sunday, June 01, 2003:
I made it to nevada... and the show opened to a great audience. I've never heard that kind of screaming and cheering in Laughlin before. Cathi's solo was off the hook, and the audience just loved Cassie.
After the show, we went to karaoke in the caboose lounge here at the Ramada Express, and some great singers showed their stuff -- including John, who has a truly blessed voice. Jackie sang a few Anita Baker songs -- sweet love, caught up in the rapture -- and Natural woman. Tasha sang Fever, and did a great job of Seasons of Love with Chris, who also did superstition and I believe I can Fly. Cassie, man o man cassie sang Nobody's supposed to be here and always with Chris. Cathi did an amazing Cry me a river and them there eyes. I settled for bridge over troubled water, try a little tenderness and lets stay together.
Probably the best karaoke fun ive ever had. It helped that we all sat up front and cheered everyone on -- even the people who sang off pitch!
