Tony Perry's excellent adventure
Sunday, November 03, 2002:
It seems that when a show is running, its tough to get in here to blog! This past show was no different. Plus I've been having health issues, and we've already been rehearsing the Christmas Show, which opens on nov. 12, and, well, you know the drill.
Last night I sang with Kathy Romine for the Daughters of the Nile -- a group I'd poke fun at except for the fact that they were the sweetest women you could ever meet, and they raise money for and spirits at the Shriner's Childrens Hospitals. Just to give you an idea: in 1979 those hospitals had an average budget of $1 million a year. Today, they have an average budget of just under $2 million -- a day!
After that, it was time to say howdy to Barry and Jeanette, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Today, its back to work, rehearsals, etc.
