Tony Perry's excellent adventure
Sunday, September 30, 2001:
Saturday night was our first trip to Scott's in a good three years. The crowd was thick, the people were lively, and the music was loud! I think everyone had a great time. There were at least three bachelorette parties there, a few musicians -- you can always tell, they're the ones who request Tower of Power -- and the club asked us to return. It looks like they want us back several times next year.
Earlier, we played the Ride For Relief, which was fun, and we saw the Jellybricks in the process! Kevin played with us, then donned his tuxedo and played first oboe for The Hershey Symphony, then came to Scotts. Busy day.
Tonight, I watched "Alias" which was good, but they used Peter Gabriel's "Here Comes The Flood" at a poignant moment, and wow was that powerful. Some day, I hope to write a song that good.
