Tony Perry's excellent adventure

Sunday, September 23, 2001:

Another fun day! It was Thomas' birthday and we pulled it out for an electric show at snappers. great fun. ok we had some tuning issues late in the show, but then finished off very well.
Jen seems to be coming down with a cold, so she left early.

Last night was another solo show at Pol-i-tesse. Fun! Probably the last time i'll be outside there for the season, since it will be getting colder now. Larry came out! The great news is he won't have to go into some covert operation to kick Bin Laden's butt. He'll be headed to Bosnia next year as planned. I was worried we wouldn't see him for a while.

It was a fun night there too! I finally got to do Amanda Marshall's "Birmingham" in public, and Shemekia Copeland's "Ghetto Child" and they worked, much to my surprise. And Larry hadn't heard "I Don't See You Crying" before, and wondered when we're going to record that too!
